paolieri
Quercianella - Livorno
This spot takes its name from the nearby bathing establishment, the "Bagni Paolieri". As far as surfing is concerned, the best wave conditions are found when there is a sizeable mistral or libeccio swell. The left wave is very long, quite easy and rounded, and the only difficulty is represented by the rocks which make getting in and out of the water problematic.
The spot is busy during the summer. As for windsurfing, this is only possible in the presence of the hot afternoon winds during the summer. The mistral is never very strong, so equipment for medium-light winds is recommended.
