Fine white fish and oily fish, crustaceans and seafood, the results of the day's catch are the ingredients for the tasty dishes San Vincenzo is renowned for. The restaurants are celebrated by gourmets from around the world and offer not only fresh, flavourful fish dishes but also the products of the land, dressed with excellent extra-virgin olive oil and accompanied by exceptional local wines.

San Vincenzo is crossed by the Costa degli Etruschi Wine Route, where well known winegrowers produce the excellent DOC wines of Val di Cornia, Bolgheri and Montescudaio.

San Vincenzo played an important part in the revival enjoyed by "oily fish". Bonito, anchovy, sardines and tuna are the stars of a number of gastronomic events and are cooked to both traditional recipes and as the basis for original, new dishes.

La Palamita, an event dedicated to the bonito is held in May, with tastings in the harbour square and delicious menus offered for the occasion by local restaurants.
